ABOUT ABOUT

This virtual workshop is geared toward parents, caregivers and professionals supporting individuals on the autism spectrum who are between the ages 9-15. As children approach and enter the teenage years, they must deal with physical growth spurts, mindboggling hormone releases, and ever-changing and challenging social relationships. For pre-adolescent children with autism, these already complicated physical and social changes may be compounded by the difficulties of reading social cues and understanding the behaviors of others. We will hear from a psychologist, developmental pediatrician and several parents who have successfully navigated this phase with their own children.

Virtual workshops are free of charge, but registration is still required.

Requests for language interpreter or other accommodation services must be received 2 weeks in advance of the workshop.

Please contact Susannah Horner at [email protected] or (267) 426-4910 with any questions.
